We circled Lake Superior in September 2008 by car. Astounded by the number of shipwrecks in Lake Superior alone!

Grandparents lived on Lake Superior when I was a child and they went around the lake several times. 1964 was the last one. Really ready to go again!

Went September 8-11. Favorites: Lighthouses especially Split Rock. Stayed in Thunder Bay overnight and loved it! Were quite impressed with Duluth. It was the first time visiting. The scenery in Canada was great. It was fantastic!

I hope I can qualify for joining the Lake Superior Circle Tour Club. My wife and two young children drove around Lake Superior from west to east in 1975. We were living in Flint at theat time and going into Canada was a breeze compared to the hassles today.

My buddy and I just completed our circle of Lake Superior on May 30th. We started in Duluth and went clockwise around the lake in 4 days on our motorcycles. 1,600 miles total with our having to get to Duluth from St. Paul. We stayed in Thunder bay, Sault Ste Marie and Hancock. It was a fantastic trip that I always wanted to do on motorcycle. The weather cooperated, although it was a bit chilly at times even for the end of May. Your website was a great help for planning and even navigating around the lake.

Becky and I did the Circle Tour the last week of May 2009. We traveled 1,200 miles starting and ending at Duluth, traveling clockwise. The trip helped us understand how vast Lake Superior is in size. We highly recommend the following sites to visit: Grand Portage (MN) National Monument, Fort William Historical Park (Thunder Bay), Eagle Canyon Adventures (suspension foot bridges and future zip line, west of Thunder Bay), Agawa Bay Campground Visitor Center (between Wawa and Sault Ste Marie), Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre (Sault Ste Marie), Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum (Whitefish Point, Michigan), Tahquamenon Falls, Quincy Mine in Hancock, Michigan.

Hello. We were in the Duluth office on the 22nd of June to pick up a book on the Lake Superior Loop, at this time we were told that if we sent in an e-mail after our adventure was complete that you would “put us in some Club.” Well, we left heading East from Duluth on Monday, June 22nd, through Michigan, crossed into Ontario, headed north, back into Minnesota and completed the journey loop back into Duluth and we finished the complete loop around Lake Superior, Saturday June 27th. It was a wonderful adventure.

Our family completed the Circle Tour on July 3, 2008. We finally completed the circuit by driving the north shore through Canada! We’d like to join the Circle Tour Club! Our family has enjoyed many parts of the Circle Tour over the years. We love watching the big ships in Duluth (at Canal Park) and at the Soo Locks in Sault Ste Marie. Last summer some of the favorite sights were the Sleeping Giant in Thunder Bay, Eagle Canyon Adventures and the home the Winnie the Pooh in White River. We were also fascinated by the many inuksuks along the road into Wawa. At the General Store in Wawa, we picked up information about them and share that with others. We stopped at some of the waterfalls and I think Aguasabon was our favorite. There is so much to see and do all around the Lake! I’m certain we’ll be back at Lake Superior somewhere soon!
