October 17, 2007 We went October 12-17, 2007. Our favorite places were: the Suspension Bridge at Eagle River Canyon, Shipwreck Museum at Whitefish Point, Kakabeka Falls in Thunder Bay. Brenda Emond/Paul Clayton, Barrie, Ontario October 5, 2007 My wife, Carol, and I took the tour starting from the Sault, going north and west around the lake September 28 and completed the trip October 5, 2007. We couldn't have picked a better time for a fall trip. It was breathtaking. Our favorite part was Copper Harbor. Carol/Dwight Woodman, Coldwater, Michigan. October 2007 Went west to east. Loved Copper Harbor and Provincial Parks, Canada. Cathy & Ron Kovacs, Traverse City, Michigan 2006 My Husband and I had a wonderful time traveling on the Circle Tour in 2006. We celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary in a rented Mustang Convertible, cruising around the lake. Dan & Jane Webb, River Falls, Wisconsin July 2005 We toured the big lake on our 1100rt BMW motorcycle in July 2005. Our trip started from Mackinac Island. The bridge on the morning start was wet and the metal grating surface was the only lane open because they were painting the bridge … with winds at 40-50 mph! We experienced the same at the bridge toward the end if our adventure at Duluth, where there was a "high winds" warning sign flashing as we entered the crossing. It was fascinating to have passed through so many different weather systems and temperatures during our week-long trip. From low 90s down to 40s, sunny then mist/fog to downpours … in one day! The Split Rock Lighthouse is a must see and learning about the shipping dangers and wrecks due to the weather, the copper ore industry demands, etc. made such an impression on us that we still talk about our tour, and of Lake Superior.
